In his current role Mr. Rassmann is Co-founder
and President and Chief Technology Officer of NetIDEAS responsible
for Product Development. Mr. Rassmann has held numerous software
engineering leadership positions for large software development
projects over an 11-year career with General Electric, Martin
Marietta, and Lockheed Martin. He has most recently been the
Manager of Advanced Software Applications at Lockheed Martin,
where he was responsible for the entire $900M division’s advanced
distributed software architectures, and a set of reusable software
components for real-time shipboard applications. Mr. Rassmann
was responsible for a team of 25 Software Engineers with budgetary
responsibility for over $3M. Mr. Rassmann led the DD-21 Collaborative
Environment Team as well as Functional Manager for the Integrated
Product Data Environment (IPDE) Team support Arsenal Ship and
Multifunctional Radar (MFR) Programs. Prior to his involvement
in the IPDE initiative, Mr. Rassmann was responsible for the
AEGIS Reusable Components Program where a common set of software
components for use by real-time AEGIS Tactical Computer Programs
was developed.
Mr. Rassmann earned his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering
from the University of Wisconsin, and MS Engineering in Management
of Technology from the University of Pennsylvania (jointly
sponsored by the Wharton School of Business and the School
