NetIDEAS Inc. (NetIDEAS) and PTC are pleased to announce its teaming arrangement to support BMW ORACLE Racing in their pursuit of victory at the 32nd America's Cup in 2007 in Valencia, Spain. BMW ORACLE Racing has selected Windchill ProjectLink(TM) software from PTC hosted by NetIDEAS to help the team meet the product development challenges common to engineering for competitive racing teams. As the Challenger of Record, BMW ORACLE Racing expects to be in a strong position to challenge for the America's Cup and has built a worldwide team to design and sail their next racing yacht.

The BMW ORACLE Racing team is an international team comprised of people from 17 different nations. "Our design team is spread from New Zealand, to Maryland, to Seattle, Germany and Spain but we need to work like we're geographically together on this campaign," said Ian Burns, BMW ORACLE Racing Design Coordinator. "The need to effectively share our design data across continents and time zones and ensure the integrity of that data is vital to our success," Burns said.
